May 30, 2008Concert with Lynn Deeves
With the 2006 release of her 3rd solo CD, “Lynn Deeves Live at Slates”, the Maine singer-songwriter celebrates a full circle return to her acoustic roots (along with a healthy dose of trademark wacky humor). Deeves spent most of the 80’s and 90’s honing her craft as a high-energy “chicksingah” performing in rock bands on the New England club circuit (Maine Female Vocalist of the Year). Upon hanging up her spandex, the songwriting Muse called and Lynn has been answering ever since with her versatile mix of blues, folk and gospel combined with a strong and soulful voice. Her sharp wit and dynamic stage presence continue to captivate fans around the Northeast and beyond. Polly and Lynn went to high school together and reunite with this evening at Mahoosuc introducing the Wellness Weekend to follow. This will be an uplifting and inspiring evening! Cost is: $8 per person. Coffee and tea will be available. Call Polly for more info: 207.824.2073 or email: info@mahoosuc.com. See Lynn's website at: www.lynndeeves.com.
