Summer apprentice

We are looking for a helper to work with us this summer and possibly into fall and winter as well. There would be alot of time with the dogs, caring for them, helping with dog rotations in the dog pastures, some exercising. Opportunities for canoeing, some general construction work and helping with functions in the lodge. A busy but fun time in the Mahoosucs!
Mahoosuc Mtn. Lodge

Mahoosuc Mountain Lodge is now available for rent either before or after a trip or for another occasion. You can read more about it on our website: www.mahoosucmountainlodge.com. This new timberframe lodge is here on the property with fantastic views of Old Speck and Sunday River Whitecap in the Mahoosuc mountains. It is very comfortable and the workmanship is to be commended!
Kroka canoe

Kevin just finished building an 18 1/2' wood canvas canoe with the Vermont Semester Program with Kroka Expeditions. These high school students are on a 6 month program and have skiied the length of Vermont and now are paddling the length of Vermont. They are using all materials and food from the local area. For more info see: www.kroka.com.
Polly's truck

Polly is selling her 2000 Nissan Frontier 4 X 4 truck. She needs a new dogbox to replace the one she has been using for over 20 years and bought a new truck so that she would be able to make a dogbox to fit the new truck. If interested please call us.
Dogs in pastures

The dogs are playing in the pastures every day now enjoying some rest and relaxation after a busy winter. They love to romp and play for hours. We put 2-6 at a time in our three 1 acre pastures and do two rotations every day so each dog gets a chance to be out of the dog yard.
Firewood

We have been cutting firewood for next winter. It is a big job and we are glad to have most of it finished. It has been nice to work in the cooler weather and it is starting to get warmer now and the bugs will be out soon. We use about 16 cords here each year. It is alot of work but we like using local resources.
