Yancey passes on
On June 29th Yancey passed on unexpectedly and suddenly. We think it may have been a brain tumor. We will miss him greatly and didn't expect this in such a young dog. He was very good tempered and got along with all the dogs in the yard. He was leading Polly's third team by the end of last season and a very obedient boy. Everyone who came to the kennel was attracted to Yancey because of his friendly disposition and outgoingness. Yancey was only 2 years old. |

Polly in Bhutan
Polly just returned from a holiday to Bhutan. She found the culture and country very interesting. It was a cultural tour learning more about their history, beliefs and religion. She also did some hiking to temples, monasteries and through country village. One of the highlights was being interviewed by these monks about life in the United States and our beliefs. |
Helpers Anna & Eliot
We want to thank Anna and Eliot who came to work with us for three weeks while Polly and Kevin were away on trips. They were a big help to us in doing dog chores, making a new dog pasture, making new doors for the basement of the lodge, varnishing canoes, moving firewood, sewing repairs, etc etc. Thanks so much and we wish them a good remainder of the summer! |
Miramichi River
Kevin just returned from our Miramichi River trip in New Brunswick. Everyone had a great time and we do plan to offer it again next year. The river is beautiful, the cabin where the trip starts and ends from is comfortable and we are happy to be guiding with some of the best guides on the Miramichi River, Kevin and Brett Silliker. |
